In November 1942, the Hiei engaged in a brutal night battle with the US forces in the waters of Guadalcanal. It was hit by close-range fire from American cruisers but continued to fight through the night amid flames. The next day, the irreparably damaged Hiei was scuttled by the Japanese Navy — a fitting end for a warrior.

This 1:700 meticulously handcrafted model fully captures the warrior spirit and historical significance of the Hiei, making it an excellent piece for Japanese Navy battleship collectors.
