Scharnhorst is one of the most legendary ships of the German Navy. With its incredible speed and fierce firepower, it blockaded British supply lines in the Atlantic and sank countless merchant ships. Its final battle — the Battle of the North Cape — was one of the most dramatic night battles of WWII, where it was surrounded and destroyed by the British fleet but fought bravely until the very end.
